Yayuncun, literally the Village of Asian Games, is on the extending central line of Beijing. It is located at the northwest of Anhui Bridge along the North Fourth Ring Road in Chaoyang District. In the 1980s, this area was chosen as the site for the 1990 Asian Games, with large construction of
stadiums, sports ground and parks, five-star hotels, shopping centers and many high-rises, as well as blocks of residential areas. Ever since then, this area has quickly developed into a high-quality living area – the relatively high regional house price is the best evidence.

The location choice of the Asian Games Village was the first time that Beijing’s central axis extended northward since the Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368) made Beijing as its capital 700 years ago.
