George Clooney attributes his phenomenal success as an actor to "random"
blind luck.
The 46-year-old is aware he owes his Hollywood superstar status to
landing the lead on E.R. as a doctor.
He says, "Think about how random things are. For me, it required a
Thursday night time slot for a medical show.
"There had only been two shows in 16 years - L.A. Law and Hill Street
Blues - and it opened up. We had a show, and immediately everything
changed.
"And you go, 'That has nothing to do with me.' That has to do with pure
luck all the way around."
